FROM THE PASTOR
My name is Plato Shepherd. Being led , as we believe, of God, my wife (since 1965) Ann and I moved to Hillsboro to establish an Independent Baptist Church in this area. We have purchased a house at 803 West A St in Hillsboro, Ks. We are sent out from Vision Baptist Church in Millers Creek, NC. We are part of the Gospel Preacher Association, a mission agency based in Lawrenceville, GA. The GPA assists in starting churches around the world.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
I have been in the ministry since 1974, both pastoring established churches and starting new churches. My education includes an Associate degree in Christian Education and a Bachelor of Divinity in Christian Education from West Lenoir Baptist School of Ministry in Lenoir, NC, and a Masters Degree and a Doctorate of Theology from Andersonville Baptist Seminary in Camilla, GA.
